Sandals Foundation: A Platinum Partnership
When Sandals Foundation partnered with Be Their Voice in 2025, we set an ambitious goal: spay and neuter 500 animals across Barbados. Together, we exceeded it, completing 543 surgeries that will prevent hundreds of thousands of unwanted litters for years to come. This partnership also enabled us to spay and neuter 15 of Barbados’s 20 identified feral cat colonies, addressing a critical overpopulation issue.
The Impact
Sandals Foundation’s $25,000 BBD Platinum investment made this work possible. One unspayed female dog can produce 67,000 descendants in six years. One unspayed cat can lead to over 370,000 descendants in seven years. By supporting our spay/neuter programs, Sandals Foundation prevented a crisis: fewer abandoned animals, fewer overcrowded shelters, and dramatically less suffering.
